Hongensi Park is located in Longji Mountain, Jiangbei District, Chongqing, adjacent to Jialing River in the south and Guanyinqiao Business District in the east. Following land requisition and demolishing in 2007, it started construction in 2008 and opened in May 2009. It has successively honored as National Greening Model Unit, Chongqing Most Beautiful Park, Chongqing Zero Waste Park, etc.

The park is rich in scenery and sweet-scented osmanthus. In the park, there are twelve scenic spots including Fragrant Osmanthus, Hong'en Spring Dawn, Swan Goose Shadow, Fresh Breeze and Quiet Bamboo Grove, Hong'en Gratitude Pavilion, Hongding Rosy Clouds, Riverside Osmanthus, Predestination on Qin Platform, Osmanthus Tree Greenland, Bonsai Garden, Evergreen Cloud Cliff, Emperor Jianwen Affecting Heavens. There are more than 10,000 osmanthus trees of over 60 species, which ranks first in the domestic osmanthus park.

The park is an ideal viewing and leisure resort in downtown. The commanding height is 418 meters above sea level. Boarding on "Hong'en Pavilion", you can have a bird's-eye view of the "two rivers and four banks" and the six districts of Chongqing, and enjoy the urban charm of Chongqing as the "mountain city", "river city" and "light city". There are fresh air, blooming flowers and singing birds, beautiful hills and deep valleys, waterfalls and springs. The park is really a paradise for citizens to relax and exercise with more than 30,000 trees providing dense shade and 500,000 square meters of green land offering oxygen.
